About WEBP to PNG
WebP supports compressed web images, including transparency and animation. PNG is useful for editors and upload forms that need a lossless raster format with an alpha channel.
An ordinary PNG image is not a replacement for an animated WebP. Check the downloaded result if the input has multiple frames. PNG also cannot recover detail that was removed when a lossy WebP was created.
